The tension and release of flesh to bone, the ebb and flow of ocean tides, the similarity of form in all living things. Strength, truth, courage, empathy, kindness- qualities that interest me.
Working in clay fascinates me: it is dug from the earth, modeled by the touch of hands, inspired by the movement of water, hardened by fire.
Wrought from feelings and instincts coupled with interpretations from observations, lyrical lines and swelling forms move sensually through my work. Earth and water are brought to life with the exclamation point of fire.
